RCN Music/Worship Ministry Application

The purpose of the music ministry at RCN is to lead our congregation and to teach our people to worship Jesus in Spirit and in Truth. We believe that worship is a lifestyle that begins with a deep and abiding love relationship with Him. This personal relationship, when joined with the congregation, can be expressed to God through music in corporate worship. To facilitate corporate worship within the body of Christ is a high calling and one of extreme importance at RCN. Our goal is for the music ministry leaders to assist the pastors & staff in leading people to salvation. The music ministry falls under the guidance of the church pastoral staff. Opportunities for using musical gifts and talents include different types of services, special songs, and participation at individual ministry events.

All in leadership in the church must commit to the primary requirements set by our pastors:

~Regularly attend church wide prayer Sunday nights & as able throughout the week

~Continued growth in their relationship with Christ & His Word

~Regularly participate in life of the church & church events (Bible Studies, Other Ministries)

Requirements for participating in music/worship ministry at RCN:

1. Must be a born again Christian with an active & growing relationship with Jesus.

2. Must be a member of RCN.

3. Must exhibit a Spirit of humility with a servants heart.

4. Must have a musical or vocal talent that fits the current needs of the various opportunities.

Process for participating in music/worship ministry at RCN:

1. Notify one of the pastors of your desire to participate.

2. Fill out a short, basic screening form & give to one of the pastors. The pastors will review the form & follow up with any questions.

3. If the screening form fits the requirements, current needs and various opportunities at RCN, it will be approved by the pastoral staff.

Typically, opportunities will be most available to serve during smaller ministry events, special services, or special songs, etc during specific times. These opportunities may open the door for a more consistent role within the church as needs arise.
